Join BioIT Alliance
We are looking for organizations to join the BioIT Alliance and help us create standards that will change how healthcare is delivered.   Member organizations come from across the spectrum of health and life sciences: universities, research institutions, biopharmaceutical companies, genomics technology vendors, LIMS and ELN vendors, EMR vendors and software technology companies.  Join us!

Our Mission
The mission of the BioIT Alliance is to develop standards and technologies that enable the seamless movement of information between clinical and research environments for the purpose of driving translational medicine.

The goals of the BioIT Alliance are relatively straightforward:

  • Bring scientific insights much faster to the patient
  • Develop standards (data models, transmission standards) and technologies for translational medicine
  • Work closely with other standards organizations, particularly CDISC, HL7, and Pistoia

Why does the Alliance exist?  The BioIT Alliance was originally created as an alliance of technology vendors, working together collaboratively to solve problems within the translational medicine space.  However, over time it became apparent that what was needed was a completely independent organization, not run by any one company, focused on the creation of standards for translational medicine.

Today, the BioIT Alliance is an independent, non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Oregon.  Its purpose has not changed: we are working together to speed the pace of innovation in translational medicine, through collaboration between member companies and standards as required.
