Blue Reference, developer of the Inference software solutions platform and leading provider of software solutions to global pharmaceutical companies, announced today that it has joined the BioIT Alliance. Formed in 2006, the BioIT Alliance is a cross-industry group working to integrate science and technology in order to accelerate the pace of drug discovery and realize the potential of personalized medicine.
“We are delighted to welcome Blue Reference into the BioIT Alliance”, said Dr. Rudy Potenzone, Director of the Alliance and Worldwide Pharma Industry Technology Strategist. “Blue Reference brings a new dimension to our members with their data-analysis tools and will be a valuable partner for other members.”
The Alliance seeks to enable the software, pharmaceutical, equipment manufacturing, and biotechnology industries to share best practices and develop standards for sharing biomedical data, improving collaboration and effectively managing life sciences knowledge. The early focus of the Alliance has been on addressing data-capture and data integration challenges that hinder the adoption of emerging life science technologies.
“As a member of the BioIT Alliance, we share a commitment to advance biomedical information, product and process understanding through innovative and practical software solutions,” said Paul van Eikeren, Chief Executive Officer of Blue Reference. “We look forward to collaborating with Microsoft and others in the BioIT Alliance to leverage technologies that enable the transformation of low-level data into actionable knowledge.”
