Aarhus, Denmark, February 4th, 2008 - Molegro today announced that they have joined the BioIT Alliance formed by Microsoft. The BioIT Alliance is a world-wide cross-industry group which unites the pharmaceutical, biotech, hardware, and software industries with the aim to explore new ways to share complex biomedical data and collaborate among multi-disciplinary teams to speed the pace of discovery in the life sciences.
Molegro CEO René Thomsen is excited about the collaboration: “We look forward to working with Microsoft and others in the BioIT Alliance and to explore new ways to integrate our software with advanced technologies, such as the high-performance computing (HPC) platform provided by Microsoft. Integrating these solutions with our software products for virtual screening and molecular docking will speed up the drug-discovery process significantly”.
